Ken Metcalf's Background
Ken currently serves as a Director of the Placer County Sheriff’s Council. He and his wife Elaine have been residents of Placer County since 1972 having moved here from San Jose. Ken is a native Californian, born and raised in southern California. He and his wife presently live in Rocklin.
He served in the U.S. Army engineers in Korea during the War as a demolition specialist and operations sergeant in a construction engineer battalion.
Ken attended Pierce, West Valley, and De Anza Colleges working toward a degree in Real Estate. He also attended California State University, Sacramento studying Technical Writing.
He has been a licensed real estate agent since 1955 and a licensed Broker since 1964, specializing in real estate lending, investing, and as a builder.
Ken has also been active in a number of professional and Community Service organizations: as Directors of the California Association of Mortgage Brokers, California Real Estate Association, National Association of Real Estate Boards, Director/Treasure, National Foundation for Boys, Inc, Charter President, Optimist Club of South Valley, San Jose, and is presently a Member, of the Kiwanis Club of Roseville, National Aging in Place Council for seniors citizen, and the American Legion.
Ken was Senior Vice President, Western Regional Manager of The Kissell Company, Later, Senior Vice President, Chief Lending Officer of Great American Mortgage Company, two of the nation’s largest mortgage banking companies, then as President of Loomis Mortgage Corporation, a California Mortgage Broker, specializing in residential lending. He presently is employed as a reverse mortgage specialist for Seniors Reverse Mortgage Inc..
